Withrow "Woody" Arnold Flannery

Withrow Arnold “Woody” Flannery of Morehead, KY, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 6 days.  He was born Monday, July 13, 1942 at Grassy Creek, KY, son of the late Troy Sr. & Virginia Leach Flannery.

Woody was a hard worker all his life.  He was retired machinist and butcher and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother; he will be missed by all of his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Rudd; and two brothers, Browning Flannery and Jack Flannery; one son-in-law, Scott Frantz; two sisters-in-law, Daisey Flannery & Mary Ann Flannery; and the mother of his children, Marcella.     

Woody is survived by five children, David Flannery of Sidney, OH, Donna Frantz of Bradford, OH, Patricia Winlaw & Michael of Morehead, KY, Connie Rupe & Greg of West Liberty, KY, and Tami Weaver & Dave of Morehead, KY; 12 grandchildren, Travis McKinney, Megan Cantrell, Austin McKinney, Lexi McKinney, Brittney Harvey, Samantha Hafer, Alexandria Bashore, Shanda Havens, Jadaya Flannery, Paisley Flannery, Heather Flannery, and Shawn Weaver; 9 great grandchildren, Hannah Rache, Brantley Havens, Hudson Hafer, Kingston Bashore, Caden Harvey, Colton Harvey, Rylan Cantrell, Auston Cantrell, and Alaina Trusty; 4 brothers, Johnny Flannery & Sherry, Harry Flannery & Cathy, Troy Flannery, Jr., and Dennis Flannery & Marietta; one sister-in-law, Margie Flannery; a host of nieces and nephews; and his faithful friend, Buster. 

Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Harry Flannery & Bro. Dennis Flannery officiating.  Burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY.  Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers:  Mike Winlaw, Dave Weaver, Greg Rupe, Shawn Weaver, Austin McKinney, and Travis McKinney.
