William “Bill” Heidel Long, Jr. of Clay City, KY, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his residence, at the age of 58 years, 2 months, 5 days. He was born Friday, November 8, 1963, at Lexington, KY, son of the late William Heidel Long, Sr. & Nellie Moore Long.
He was united in marriage to Stephanie Sadonna Dickerson. This union was blessed with two children, Alexandria & Matthew. He served his country in the U.S. Marines in the 1980's and worked as a foreman at the Bodycote Factory in Winchester, KY. He was a Christian and was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and nephew. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, William Sr. & Nellie Long, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Holtsclaw; one sister, Eunice Long; and one uncle, Raymond Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Long; two children, Alexandria Long and Matthew Long, both of Clay City, KY; two brothers, Phillip Moore (Willa) of Louisville, KY and Charles Holtsclaw of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister, Tina Judeh (Iskander “Alex”) of Lexington, KY; one aunt, Margie Foster of West Liberty, KY; and one uncle, Virgil Moore, Jr. (Jackie) of Alabama.
Funeral Service 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Jonathan Williams officiating. Burial to follow in the South Fork Cemetery, Malone, KY. Visitation 12 noon – 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Jonathan Moore, Alex Judeh, Farid Judeh, Charles Holtsclaw, Phillip Moore, Joshua Neal, and Jacob Jones.
