William "Bill" F. Barker

William “Bill” F. Barker of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 29 days. He was born on Tuesday, August 19, 1941 at Morehead, KY, son of the late John Frank & May Robinson Barker.

Bill was united in marriage to Wanda Lewis.  This union was blessed with one son, Chris.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the State Highway Department.  He was a Christian, attended the Lacy Creek Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star, and the Elkfork Masonic Lodge #755.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, John Frank & May Barker, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Paul E. Keeton. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Lewis Barker; his son and daughter-in-law, Chris & Betty Barker of West Liberty; one grandson, Cody Barker (Haley) of West Liberty; two great grandchildren, Emmalyn Barker & Stephanie Barker; one sister, Francis Keeton of Red Bush, KY; one nephew, Andy Keeton (Jill) of Pikeville, KY; and one niece, Dana Collett (George) of Paintsville, KY.

Funeral Service 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Andy Keeton & Bro. Tim Jenkins officiating.  Burial to follow in the Fannin Cemetery, Crockett, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m., followed by Eastern Star Services.

Pallbearers:  Jeremy Cox, Cody Barker, S.D. Wright, Lewis Lyons, Dickey Williams, & Greg Adkins.

Honorary Pallbearers:  All His Church Family, Eastern Star Family, and Masonic Lodge Family.
