William Curtis Oney, II

William Curtis Oney, II of Hazel Green, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his residence, at the age of 65 years, 1 month, & 4 days.  He was born Friday, October 2, 1959 at Paintsville, KY, son of Thelmer & Mollie Bailey Oney.

William was united in marriage to Judy Roark on October 3, 1981.  This union was blessed with two sons, William Curtis, III & Jason Lee.  He was a former Machine Operator.  He was saved and baptized in October 2022 and a member of the Anchored Freewill Baptist Church.  He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelmer & Mollie Oney; his wife, of 39 years, Judy Oney; and an infant sister, Mary Eulah Oney.

He is survived by two sons, William Curtis Oney, III (Ashley) and Jason Lee Oney (Jacqueline) all of Hazel Green, KY; four grandchildren, Haley Oney, Jaylin Oney, Jennah Oney, and Jordyn Oney; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service, 1 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Floyd Arnett officiating.  Burial in the Bailey Family Cemetery, Hwy 134, Hazel Green, KY.  Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Monday November 11, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home.
