Wilda Jane (Walsh) Preston Adams

Wilda Jane Walsh Preston Adams of Lexington, KY, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at her residence, at the age of 89 years, 5 months, & 19 days.  She was born Sunday, February 23, 1936, at Indian Creek, KY, daughter of Beverly Franklin & Amelia Scott Howard Walsh.

She was a retired secretary for the pathology department at Grandview Hospital.  She was a Christian and a member of the West Liberty First Baptist Church.           

Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, Beverly Franklin & Amelia Scott Walsh; her first husband, Joe Martine Preston; her second husband, Darrell B. Adams; one sister, Mary Pauline Howard; and two brothers, Rudolph Walsh & Randolph Walsh.

She is survived by two children, Joseph Scott Preston (Vicki) of Fairborn, OH and Beverly Pauline Wood (Brian David) of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, David Preston Wood, Patrick Alan Wood, Parker Martine Wood, Hannah Moorman (Scott), Bryan Wood (Kim), Beth Ruiz, & Ashley Preston;  great grandchildren, Harper Leigh Wood, Johanna Rose Wood, Eden Jay Heick, Drew Wood, Ethan Wood, Madison Moorman, Landen Moorman, Sharon Preston (William), and Jordan Anderson; one sister, Betty Joyce Apple of Lexington, KY; several nieces & nephews; sister-in-law, Helen Potter; and extended family & friends, Francis Collins.

Wilda will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Preston officiating.  Burial to follow in the Salyer Cemetery, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers:  Preston Wood, Patrick Wood, Parker Wood, Bryan Wood, Scott Moorman, & William Eller.
