Wandlee "Wanda" Cooper

Wandlee “Wanda” Cooper of Prestonsburg, KY, formerly of Salyersville, KY, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at Lexington, KY, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 9 days.  She was born Monday, January 27, 1941, at Salyersville, KY, daughter of the late Oral & Hortense Helton Williams.

Wanda was united in marriage to David Mack Cooper.  This union was blessed with one son, Michael David.  She was a retired small equipment operator for the KY State Highway Department.  She was a Christian and member of the White Oak Christian Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Mack Cooper; one sister, Winnie Helton; one niece and nephew, Wilma Jean Coghill and David Helton.

Wanda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael David and Lisa Reed-Cooper of Salyersville, KY; one grandson, Adam Michael Cooper of West Liberty, KY; and two great grandchildren, Grace Caroline Cooper and Remington Michael Cooper. 

Graveside service 1 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Allen & May Cemetery, White Oak, KY, with Bro. Greg Helton officiating, with burial to follow.  Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
