Virginia Aliene (Prater) Morgan

Virginia Aliene Morgan of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at her residence, at the age of 87 years and 5 days. She was born Tuesday, March 13, 1934, at Adele, KY, daughter of the late Raleigh & Mary Ellen Nickell Prater.

Aliene was united in marriage to the late Wayne Morgan. This union was blessed with two children, Duane & Michelle. She graduated from Cannel City High School and Spencerian Busisness College. She was a retired self-employed Accountant. She was a Christian and attended church as her health permitted. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister; she will be missed by all of her family and friends.

In addition to her parents and former husband, she was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 1 sister, Chalmer Prater, Edgar Prater, Mexia Taulbee, Mort Prater, Wilson Prater, John Henry Prater, Woodford Prater, Wilgus Prater, Ira Wendell Prater, and Herbert Prater.

Aliene is survived by her two children, Duane & Lori Morgan of Tipp City, OH, and Michelle & Jeff Havens of West Liberty, KY; 7 grandchildren, Forrest & Danielle Adkins of Morehead, KY, Lake & Cassidy Adkins of Richmond, KY, Kelsey & Jeremy Bear of Sandy Hook, KY, D.T. Morgan of Tipp City, OH, Brittani & Justin Grimes of Cleveland, OH, Lance Corporal Lane & Ana Morgan of Washington State, and Brianna Michele Morgan of Tipp City, OH; 13 great grandchildren, Kenton Adkins, Gatlin Adkins, Carston Adkins, Bentley Bear, Hailey Bear, Hannah Bear, Brooke Bear, London Grace Morgan, Lily Elizabeth Morgan, Eliana Rose Hall, Emily Reagan Hall, Connor Grimes, and Ava Marie Morgan; two brothers, Ventice Prater and H.C. Prater, special caregiver, Lana Prater; and a host of nieces & nephews.

Graveside service 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the R.O. Prater Cemetery, Adele, KY, with Bro. Mike Frisby officiating. Potter Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers: Forrest Adkins, Lake Adkins, D.T. Morgan, Lance Corporal Lane Morgan, Kevin Prater, John Prater, Darren Prater, and Bernard Prater.
