Virginia Ann (Keeton) Wood

Virginia Ann Wood of St. John, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her residence in Indiana, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, & 27 days.  She was born Friday, August 22, 1941 at Moon, KY, daughter of Thomas & Bessie Dawson Keeton.

Ann was united in marriage to Conrad Skaggs.  This union was blessed with two sons, Timothy & Terry.  After Conrad’s passing, she later married Estill Ray Wood.  She was a former beautician.  She was a loving mother, sister, and aunt and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Bessie Keeton; her first husband, Conrad Skaggs; second husband, Estill Ray Wood; one son, Terry Skaggs; one sister, Rowena Elizabeth Farrell; and one brother, Lowell Breckenridge Keeton.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Skaggs of St. John, IN; two sisters and three brothers, Violet Fannin, Paul Keeton (Carolyn), Danny Keeton (Linda), Rachel Denise Vanoss (Greg), and Douglas Powell Keeton (Belinda); and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service 1 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Keeton Family Cemetery, Moon, KY, with Bro. Joe Hill officiating.  Burial to follow.  Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers:  Zach Penix, Timothy Keeton, Matthew Keeton, Aaron Keeton, Greg Keeton, and Brian Edwards.
