Timothy James Lykins

Timothy James Lykins of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the LeConte Medical Center, Sevierville, TN, at the age of 36 years, 8 months, 7 days. He was born Friday, April 26, 1985, at Battle Creek, MI, son of Timothy & Beverly Perkins Lykins.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Grigsby. This union was blessed with three children, Lillie Grace, Jude Alan James, and Willow Rose. He was a graduate of Nashville Auto-Diesel College, where he received an Associate Degree and was a self-employed diesel mechanic.  He loved his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and uncle. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Orville Perkins and his paternal grandfather, James Delmar Lykins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Grigsby Lykins; his three children, Lillie Grace Lykins, Jude Alan James Lykins, and Willow Rose Lykins; his parents, Timothy & Beverly Perkins Lykins of West Liberty, KY; one sister, Kayla Burton (Jason) of Grassy Creek, KY; one brother, Eric Lykins of West Liberty, KY; maternal grandmother, Maggie Perkins of West Liberty, KY; paternal grandmother, Pearl Shearer of West Liberty, KY; one niece, Brooklyn Burton; two nephews, Benjamin Lykins and Andrew Oldfield; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, David & Tami Osborne.

Funeral Service 1 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Greg Helton officiating. Burial to follow in the Perkins Cemetery, Stacy Fork, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the funeral home.  ***The family request that if you are attending the visitation or funeral service that you please wear a mask or face covering.***

Pallbearers: Jason Burton, Eric Lykins, Brandon Wilson, John Oldfield, Andrew Oldfield, Dennie Pack, Brian Sheets, David Osborne, Rick Lykins, and Derrick Havens.

Honorary Pallbearer: Jude Alan James Lykins.
