Terry Dean Stacy of Owenton, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the St. Elizabeth Florence Hospital, Florence, KY, at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 6 days. He was born Wednesday, January 2, 1952 at Lexington, KY, son of the late Bernard D. & Audra McKenzie Stacy.
Terry was a member of the Central Christian Church in Lexington, KY. He was a loving brother and uncle and will be missed by all of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Oscar & Ada McKenzie, whom he spent a lot of time with in West Liberty; his paternal grandparents, Jerry & Rhoda Stacy; and aunts & uncles, Edra & Jay Burton, Ruth & Bob Conover, Buck & Pauline McKenzie, and Eunice & Homer Haney.
Terry is survived by one sister, Frances Stacy Votaw (J.T.) of Texas; two nephews, Rick Votaw (Susan) and Darren Votaw (Julie) all of Texas; one niece, Charlotte Schmbacher of Texas; cousins, Johnny Conover, Dr. J. Mike Burton, Jimmy McKenzie, Ann Rose McKenzie Ferguson, Scottyee Franklin, Patty Prater, and Jerry Lee Johnson; one great nephew, Dakota Votaw; and three great nieces, Taylor Frances Schmbacher, Ashley Schmbacher, and Hayden Faith Schmbacher.
Private Graveside service Thursday, December 10, 2020, with Bro. Hunter Fraley officiating. Burial in the Salyer Cemetery, West Liberty, KY. A public graveside service will be held at a later date. Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
