Shirley Kay Oakley Fields of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at her residence, at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 11 days. She was born Sunday, November 24, 1935 at West Liberty, KY, daughter of the late Kelly & Marie Goad Oakley.

Shirley was united in marriage to James Fields. This union was blessed with 7 children. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a Christian and a member of the Lick Fork Pentecostal Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Jimmy Ray Fields, and Burman Louis Fields; three grandchildren, Billy Ray Lewis, Sara & Sally Lewis; two sons-in-law, Billy Wayne Lewis and Troy Ison; one brother, Bill Oakley; and one sister, Nina Oakley.

She is survived by five daughters, Kathy Lewis of West Liberty, KY, Nelda & Wes Bailey of Louisville, KY, Marita & Willard Lewis, Kimberly & Bryan Puckett all of West Liberty, KY, and Juanita & Tim Lykins of Ezel, KY; two step children, Sue & Steve Johnson and Jimmy Lewis all of Ohio; twenty grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank & Joyce Oakley of West Liberty, KY and Charlie Oakley of Missouri; and brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Ray Fields and Alice & Wendell Lewis.

Due to the COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private graveside service for the immediate family, will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the James Fields Cemetery, West Liberty, KY.
