Sharon (Boos) Peyton

Sharon Boos Peyton of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, & 9 days.  She was born Thursday, December 2, 1948 at Zag, KY, daughter of Richard & Eula Mae Hicks Boos.

She was united in marriage to Gary Peyton.  Sharon was a retired Secretary for St. Claire Regional Medical Center.  She was a Christian and attended the Zag Community Church.  She loved to quilt and served as vice president of the Quilt Guild.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Eula Mae Boos and two sisters, Lucille Johnson & Judy Curtis.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Peyton; three children, Richard Waterbury (Rebecca Sue Booth), Jimmy Waterbury, Jr., and Ricky Waterbury all of Indiana; three step children, Justin Peyton (Sherry) of West Liberty, KY, Jessie Peyton of Indiana, and Janet Peyton of Hodgenville, KY; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. J.R. Keeton & Bro. Donald Cox officiating.  Burial to follow in the Conley & Riggsby Cemetery, Patrick Road, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2024 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers:  Billy Fleming, James Kidd, J.R. Keeton, Lonnie O'Neal, Traven Styer, & Justin Peyton.
