Sandra "Sandy" Kay Conley

Sandra “Sandy” K. Conley, age 74, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was born February 21, 1949 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Don and Reva (Williams) Wright. She was a graduate of Morgan County High School and was of the Baptist Faith.

She married James A. “Jimmy” Conley in 1970 and moved to Ohio shortly thereafter. While in Ohio she started a family when her only child James C. “Jamie” Conley was born. He went on to marry and have two children of his own who were the light of her life. There wasn’t anything she enjoyed more than spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James “Jimmy” Conley; son, James C. “Jamie” (Julie) Conley, Canal Winchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Taylor Conley and Christopher Conley; sister, Brenda (Ernest) Jenkins, West Liberty, KY; brother, Ermal (Melissa Powell) Wright, West Union, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Jerry) Trusty, West Liberty, KY, and Bartola “Bartie” Conley, Fairborn, OH; nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Wright; sisters-in-law, Sharon Wright and Ethel Smith; brother-in-law, Billy Jo Conley; and baby sister, Shirley Jean Wright.

Friends may visit 6-8 pm Thursday, May 25,2023 at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Rd N (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, and 6-8 pm Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Potter Funeral Home, 329 Glenn Ave, West Liberty, Kentucky, where the funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, May 28, 2023 with the Rev. Virgil Perkins officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in Samuel Wright Cemetery.
