Ruth E. Lambert

Ruth E. Lambert of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at UK St. Claire, Morehead, KY, at the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 29 days.  She was born Saturday, February 26, 1955, at West Liberty, KY, daughter of Bishop & Hortense Arnett Benton.

Ruth was a retired LPN at the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex, where she worked for several years.                 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bishop & Hortense Benton; one son, Delbert Bell; one grandson, Blake Bell; and one brother, James Hager Benton.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Todd Lambert; one son, Charles Bell (Laura Wright); four grandchildren, Alyssa Bell, Kaitlyn Bell, Heilyn Bell, Heidie Bell; one brother, Jimmy Benton (Flo); two sister, Joyce Brown and Sue Peyton (David); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ruth will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
