Ruby (Salyer) Wells

Ruby Salyer Wells of Cannel City, KY, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at Elliott County Nursing & Rehab, Sandy Hook, KY, at the age of 92 years, 2 months, and 2 days.  She was born Sunday, January 21 1934, at Ezel, KY, daughter of Milton & Lydia Risner Salyer.

Ruby was united in marriage to Ollie Wells.  This union was blessed with one son, Roderick.  She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family.  She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Wells Chapel Church of God.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton & Lydia Salyer; her husband, Ollie Wells; and siblings, Ben Salyer, Mandy Manning, Della McCracken, Beatrice Nickell, James M. Salyer, Madeline Alley, Walter Salyer, Wayne Salyer, and Milton Salyer, Jr.

Ruby is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roderick & Janet Wells of Cannel City, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for family will be held.  Bro. Pat Hoskins officiating.  Burial to follow in Wells Cemetery, Stacy Fork, KY.
