Roy Cletis Potter of Cannel City, KY, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 68 years, 9 months, 27 days. He was born Wednesday, March 18, 1953, at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Walter Potter & Elizabeth Jenia Potter Lacy.
He was united in marriage to Linda Lou McCarty. This union was blessed with a son, Roy Nathan. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Walter Potter & Elizabeth Jenia Potter Lacy, he was preceded in death by thirteen brothers & sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda McCarty Potter; his son, Roy Nathan Potter (Kara) of Cannel City, KY; two grandsons, Willie Walton of West Liberty, KY and Rohan Potter of Cannel City, KY; two brothers, Carl Thomas Potter (Glenda) of Hazel Green, KY and John Potter (Arlene) of West Liberty, KY; two sisters, Gay Kennard of Ohio and Martha Arnett of Salyersville, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Harry Helton officiating. Burial to follow in the Cletis Potter Family Cemetery, Railroad Fork, Cannel City, KY. Visitation 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Tommy Potter, Greg Potter, Mark Murphy, Chris Murphy, Todd Potter, and Chris Beagle.
