Roger Pelfrey of West Liberty, KY passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville, KY at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 22 days. He was born on Saturday, June 22, 1929 in Morgan County, KY, a son born to the late Alonzo and Carma Caskey Pelfrey. Roger was a member of the United Baptist Church at Little Fork, in Magoffin County, he was also a member of the Elkfork Masonic Lodge #755. He supported his family before his retirement as a farmer and State Highway Department Bridge Crewman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye and Ruth Pelfrey; and six brothers, Claude, Arnold, Clifton, Ralph, Franklin, and Curt Pelfrey. He is survived by his wife, Lena Crase Pelfrey; one son, Ronnie and Charlene Pelfrey of West Liberty; one daughter, Audra Swallows of Clarkrange, TN; two grandchildren, Andrea Murphy and Jason Gunter; two great grandchildren, Jayden Murphy and Kalea Gunter; one brother, Alton Pelfrey; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rick Pelfrey, Rev. John Blanton, and Rev. Joe Carroll officiating. Burial in the Mann Cemetery, Bloomington, KY, in Magoffin County. Visitation 6:00 p.m., April 14, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Eric Pelfrey, Steve Pelfrey, Tim Goble, Kennell Lewis, Danny Williams, Jason Gunter, Phillp Leach, and Larry Crase.
