Rocky Dean Steele

Rocky Dean Steele of Jackson, KY, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at Landmark of Breathitt County, Jackson, KY, at the age of 70 years, 11 months, & 13 days.  He was born Thursday, June 4, 1953 at Mt. Sterling, KY, son of Rondell Leon & Patty Oldfield Steele.

Before his illness, he was a former heavy equipment operator.  He will be remembered as a loving nephew and cousin, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rondell & Patty Steele; two sisters, Deborah Kay Steele and Kathleen Jo Steele Haddox; one nephew, Tyler Steele Haddox; paternal grandparents, Benjamin Floyd & Ada Byrd Steele; maternal grandparents, Harold & Ruby Chaney Oldfield; & several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his aunt, Nancy Elizabeth Weddington of Grassy Creek, KY; special cousin & friend, Greg Weddington of Grassy Creek, KY; and several other cousins.
