Richard Lewis

Richard Lewis of West Liberty, KY, passed away, Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his residence, at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 4 days.  He was born Friday, July 25, 1947, in West Liberty, KY, son of the late Clyde and Christine Callahan Lewis.

Richard was united in marriage to Eunice Howard and together they raised two daughters, Jennifer & Jesse. 

Richard was a retired fork lift operator.  He served his country during the Vietnam war in the US Army from 1964 -1966.  He was saved and was baptized on February 8, 1997 in Zag, KY.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jesse L. Davis; one grandson, Joshua M. Davis; five brothers, Arlie Lewis, Chester Lewis, Bernard Lewis, Darrell Lewis, and Clyde Lewis, Jr.; and five sisters, Mary Hale Fairchild, Emma J. Engle, Goldie Rigsby, Leatha Rigsby, and Nannie Lewis.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Eunice Howard Lewis; one daughter, Jennifer Lewis Davis Flack (Marvin) of West Liberty; one granddaughter, Tera R. Flack of West Liberty; two brothers, Steve Lewis (Marvella) & Jimmy Lewis all of West Liberty; three sisters, Maxine Rigsby, Dreama Cox (Donald) all of West Liberty, & Connie Hutchinson of Fairborn, OH; one niece, Becky Sexton (Hershell); special great nephew, Adam W. Sexton (Whitney); one great niece, Emily Sexton; three great-great nieces and nephews, Adan, Meaka, & Mason Sexton; and two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Lewis & Helen Lewis . 

Funeral Service 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Dean Lewis & Bro. Donald Cox officiating.  Burial to follow at the Howard Cemetery, Bill Howard Road, West Liberty, KY, Morgan County DAV to conduct military rites at the gravesite.  Visitation from 12 noon - 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers:  Jennifer Flack, Marvin Flack, Jake Flack, Tera Flack, Adam Sexton, Adan Sexton, and Gerald Sexton.
