Raymond B. Smith

Raymond B. Smith of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at West Liberty Nursing & Rehabilitation, at the age of 98 years and 8 months and 6 days. He was born Saturday, November 24, 1923 at Van Lear, KY, son of the late Frank & Gracie Pack Smith.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Amyx this union was blessed with three daughters, and three sons.

He was a heavy equipment operator, for Addington Coal Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Amyx Smith; one daughter, Helen Sue Cisco, two sons, Ronnie Eugene, Steven Ray Smith, one grandchild, Billy Joe Robbins, two brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by one son, Eddie and Carol Smith, Fairborn, OH, two daughters, Linda and Dewey Parker and Rosemary and Ollie Litteral of West Liberty, KY; 17 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service 1:00 pm Monday at the Pendleton Church, with Rev. Everett “Buck” Smith and Rev. Jackie Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Thurman Smith Cemetery, Frank Smith Rd., West Liberty, KY. Visitation 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday at the Church.
