Rachel Jenkins Hager of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of West Liberty, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC, at the age of 71 years, 11 months, & 19 days. She was born Sunday, January 18, 1953 at Sand Lick, KY, daughter of Will & Bertie Burchett Jenkins.
Rachel was united in marriage to Tommy Hager. This union was blessed with three children, Timothy Joe, Leann, & Lillie Marie. She was a Homemaker devoting her life to care for her family & her home and was a Christian. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will & Bertie Jenkins; her husband, Tommy Hager; her son, Timothy Joe Hager; and brother and sisters, Willis Jenkins, Jr., Mary Sansom, Irene Kidwell, Nancy Kidwell, and Genieva Buty.
Rachel is survived by her two daughters & sons-in-law, Leann & Steve Watson of Ezel, KY and Lillie Marie & Jamie Peyton of Myrtle Beach, SC; seven grandchildren, Timothy Scott Hager, Ashley Dawn Hager, Dylan Joe Hager, Whitney Leann Fugate, James Tyler Fugate, Caitlin Abigail Black, & Joshua James Peyton; four great grandchildren & one on the way, Samantha Dell Hager, Klayton Scott Hager, Ashton Ryker Hager, & Beau Hager; one sister, Linda Ruth Farleigh; and one brother, Kenneth & Jeanette Jenkins .
Funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Hershel Wright officiating. Burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY. Visitation from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Timothy Scott Hager, James Tyler Fugate, Joshua James Peyton, Dylan Joe Hager, Jamie Peyton, & Steve Watson.
