Pearl (Harper) Lykins Norris Shearer

Pearl Harper Lykins Norris Shearer of West Liberty, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 18 days. She was born on Wednesday, June 8, 1932, daughter of the late David Edward & Rebecca Myrtle Perkins Harper.

Pearl was united in marriage to James Delmar Lykins.  This union was blessed with 10 children.  She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and home.  She was a faithful Christian and attended the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister.  She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends, and all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Delmar Lykins; second husband, William Benton Norris; and third husband, Clyde Wendell Shearer; one daughter, Lena Mae Lykins; three grandsons and one granddaughter; four brothers, Oscar, Russell, Bert, and Lonzo Harper; four sisters, Dora Perkins, Cora Perkins, Bonnie Gustin, and Lou Sowards; and one son-in-law. 

Survivors include nine children, Paul Douglas Lykins of Albion, MI, Linda Moore of Battle Creek, MI, Ronnie Lee Lykins, Patty Caskey (Rex) all of West Liberty, KY, Doris Vasquez (Arthur) of Battle Creek, MI, Kit Lykins of Farmers, KY, Rick Lykins of West Liberty, KY, Kathy Ann Havens of Battle Creek, MI, and Tim Lykins (Beverly) of West Liberty, KY; 32 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Clotine Cornett (Cletis) of Ezel, KY and Wanda Bailey of West Liberty, KY; and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral Service, 1 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Sammy Vancleave officiating.  Burial to follow in the Caskey & Lykins Cemetery, Hwy 1161, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home.
