Paul B. Franklin

Paul B. Franklin of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, KY, at the age of 90 years, 7 months, & 9 days.  He was born Saturday, November 3, 1934, in Logville, KY, son of Zenus & Anna Lykins Franklin.

Paul was united in marriage to Janet Salyer.  This union was blessed with two sons, Leonard & Tim.  Paul was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving his country from 1953 – 1957.  He was a retired Barber in West Liberty, working for 57 years.  Paul was of the Christian faith, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.      

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Zenus & Anna Lykins Franklin and 2 brothers & 2 sisters, Dorsie Franklin (Marie), James Franklin (Nell), Mae Trusty (Jack), and Jewel Eidemiller (Kenneth).

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Janet Franklin; two sons, Leonard D. Franklin of Lawrenceburg, KY and Tim Franklin (Shella) of Lexington, KY; one grandson, Ethan Paul Franklin (Emily) of Boston, MA; step grandchildren, Travis Salmons & Warren Salmons; and honorary granddaughter, Natasha Pirman.

Paul will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service, 2 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Donald Rudd & Elder Tom Steele officiating.  Burial to follow in the Salyer Cemetery, with Morgan Co. DAV to conduct military services at the graveside.  Visitation from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the funeral home.
