Patricia Lou (Smith) Perkins

Patricia Lou Perkins of Dayton, OH, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at her residence, at the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 12 days. She was born Tuesday, March 19, 1946 at Mize, KY, daughter of the late Cormick & Maggie Taulbee Smith.

Patricia was united in marriage to John Perkins. This union was blessed with two children, Regina & Heather. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home, a Christian and member of the Clearview Baptist Church in Moraine, OH.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mother, Sarah Neace Taulbee Smith; two sisters, Elsie Frieden and Jeanette Cottle; and three brothers, Earl Smith, Willard Smith, and Burton Smith.

She is survived by her husband, John Perkins; two daughters, Regina Dillon & James of Springboro, OH and Heather Hansen & Scott of Centerville, OH; five grandchildren, Joseph Dillon, Emily Dillon, John Dillon, Hayden Hansen, and Kelsie Hansen; four sisters, Mildred Allen of West Liberty, KY, her twin sister, Patti Sue Rogers of Lexington, KY, Ollie Vest of Owensboro, KY, and Shelia Elam & Anthony of Ashland, KY; one brother, Gerald Smith of Hartford, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private graveside service for the immediate family, will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY.
