Nadine Minix

Lila Nadine Minix of White Oak, KY, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, at UK St. Claire, Morehead, KY, at the age of 94 years, 1 month, & 5 days.  She was born Tuesday, April 28, 1931, in White Oak, KY, daughter of Henry Clay & Thelma May Minix.

Nadine was a loving aunt, who nurtured not only her nieces and nephews, but a whole community of children that she loved like her own.  She spent her life in White Oak, where she enjoyed spending time sitting on the porch and visiting with her family and neighbors.  She worked for Dr. Alec Spencer for over forty years and was dedicated to him and to all his patients.  Nadine was a faithful member of White Oak Christian Church, where she worked diligently for the Lord.  She loved her church and all that walked through the doors.  She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Thelma Minix; her sister & brother-in-law, Vanessa & Bill Litton; and one niece, Denise Litton.

Nadine is survived by one niece, Randa Patrick (Marvin) of White Oak; four great nephews & nieces, Jamie Phipps (Lydia) of Cottle, Gina Vance of West Liberty, Bentley Patrick of White Oak, and Brooke Jenkins (Casey) of West Liberty; five great-great nieces & nephews, Jenna Vance, Bryce Vance, Thea Jenkins, Millie Jenkins, and Easton Gilliland; three special cousins, Janis Williams, Randy & Tashia Williams, and Carol Jean Price, and numerous other cousins; and her caretaker, Melinda Day.

Funeral service, 1 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025 at White Oak Christian Church, with Bro. Greg Helton officiating.  Burial to follow in the G. B. Allen Cemetery, White Oak, KY.  Visitation 5 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers:  Jamie Phipps, Bentley Patrick, Randy Williams, Casey Jenkins, Gene Whitaker, Mike Griffitts, Jim Bob Meade, and Caleb Demus.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Marvin Patrick, Tommy Phipps, Dr. James Frederick, and Terry Lykins.
