Mitchell Monroe Peyton

Mitchell Monroe Peyton of Louisville, KY / West Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday December 3, 2020, at the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 20 days. He was born Thursday, April 13, 1950, at Grassy Creek, KY, son of the late Mitchell Walden & Martha Haney Peyton.

Mitch worked many years at General Electric in Louisville, KY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters, William Peyton, Jr., Erkle Peyton, Albert Peyton, James Peyton, Elmo Peyton, Joe Peyton, Frank Peyton, Norma Greear, Sarah Doyle and Naomi Howard.

Mitch is survived by three sisters, Bonnie Allison of TN, Dee Day of CO, and Mary Kean of TX; and many nephews and nieces.

Mitch was a veteran and a very kind and gentle soul who loved animals and nature. He enjoyed playing cards with family….and usually won. Mitch was also a pretty great prankster! He was a very independent, humble man and will be greatly missed by all.

Private services Monday, December 7, 2020. Burial in the Gevedon Cemetery, Gevedon Branch Road, Grassy Creek, KY. COVID-19 regulations will be followed per the State & CDC guidelines. Please wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
