Mary Carolyn (Watson) Gevedon

Mary Carolyn Gevedon of Grassy Creek, KY, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her residence, at the age of 72 years, 6 months, and 23 days. She was born Monday, May 23, 1949, at Ezel, KY, daughter of the late Rev. Joseph Clarence Watson & Irene Manning Watson.

She was united in marriage to Curtis Wayne Gevedon. This union was blessed with a son, William Joseph Gevedon. She was a food service manager and retired from Woodsbend Boys Camp. She was a Christian and a member of the Ezel First Church of God. She loved her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Tolson.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Curtis Gevedon; one son, William Joseph Gevedon of Arkansas; one granddaughter, Mary Grace Gevedon; two brothers & one sister, Danny Watson (Cathy) of Louisville, KY, Charlie Watson (Jennifer) of Jeffersonville, KY, and Brenda Baker of Indiana; several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Service, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Frisby and Bro. Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial to follow in the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY. Visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Brad Gevedon, Jimmy Watson, Ronnie Bowman, Johnny Blevins, Jeff Gevedon, Phillip Leach, Zach Blevins, and Derrick Yocum.
