Mary Rissie (Ferguson) Webb

Mary Rissie Webb of Paintsville, KY, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville, KY, at the age of 94years, 5 month, and 12 days. She was born on Thursday, March 28, 1929 in Relief, KY, a daughter of the late Elder Roby and Amanda “Manda” (Ferguson) Ferguson.

Mary was united in marriage to Hobert Brown this union was blessed with one daughter and two sons, Amanda, Jerry, and Robie. Mary later met married Ray Webb. She was a Christian and a member of Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Webb, father of her children, Hobart Brown, two sons, Jerry Brown and Robie Brown; son-in-law, Frank Hamilton and one brother and two sisters, Ambrose Lee Ferguson, Myrtle Mullins and Annalee Blanton.

Survivors include; one daughter, Amanda Hamilton, Elizabethtown, KY; two daughters-in-law, Betty Brown, West Liberty, KY, and Ella Brown, Fairborn, OH; eight grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren; two step sons, Buell Webb (Frances) of Keeton, KY and Elmer Webb (Patsy) of Columbus, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church, Crockett, KY with Elder Jonathan Rigsby, Elder Jerry Howard, & Bro. Rodney Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ray Webb Cemetery at Martha, K. Visitation from 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until time for the service.
