Mary Stamper

Mary Stamper of West Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, & 29 days.  She was born Wednesday, June 23, 1943, in Caney, KY, daughter of Dorsey & Tora Craft Benton.

She was a former factory worker, beautician, and caregiver.  Mary was a Christian and a member of the Redeemed Baptist Church.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey & Tora Benton; five brothers & sisters, Vesta Gullett, Virvin Benton, Glen Benton, Geraldine Benton, and Norma Sowder.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen Berry of Caney, KY; one grandson, Mason Dean Berry of Winchester, KY; one brother, C.W. Benton (Connie) of Union, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial service 3 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Redeemed Baptist Church, Caney, KY, with Elder Roy Collett officiating.  Visitation from 2 - 3 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Redeemed Baptist Church.
