Margaret Minnix of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at the West Liberty Nursing & Rehab Center, at the age of 102 years, 7 months, and 3 days. She was born Saturday, June 15, 1918 at Rousseau, KY, in Breathitt County, daughter of the late Sidney & Mary Salyer Minnix.
She was a retired payroll clerk for Corning Ware. She was a Christian and a member of the Beachwood Presbyterian Church and while living in Kentucky, she attended the White Oak Christian Church. She was a loving aunt, great aunt, and great-great & great-great-great aunt. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Sidney & Mary Minnix, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry, Langley, Charles, Lee, and Homer Minnix; one sister, Vicky Cook; and a niece, Vanessa Litton.
Margaret is survived by two nieces & two nephews, Nadine Minnix of West Liberty, KY, Linda Poston & Rick of Lady Lake, FL, Larry Minnix & Donna of Centerville, OH, and Gary Minnix & Melanie of Oak Park, IL; four great nieces & three great nephews, Denise Moore, Randa Patrick & Marvin, David Minnix & Tina, Dawn Minnix, Nicholas Poston, Natalie Arrington & Nils, and David Lile Minnix; a special great-great niece whom helped with her care, Brooke Jenkins; and numerous other great-great & great-great-great nieces & nephews whom she loved dearly.
Graveside service 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Sallee - Minnix Cemetery, Rt. 30, Rousseau, KY, with Bro. Mark Campbell officiating, with burial to follow.
Pallbearers: Bentley Patrick, Marvin Patrick, Randy Williams, Jamie Phipps, Casey Jenkins, Mike Griffith, and Bryce Vance.
Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. James Frederick, Jim Price, and Greg Helton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to the White Oak Christian Church.
