Lucian Kenneth Pieratt of Ezel, KY, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 23 days. He was born Sunday, July 24, 1932, at Bonnie, KY, son of the late Hollie Davis & Margarite Vest Pieratt.
He was united in marriage to Shelia Jean Whitt. This union was blessed with three children, Phillip Ray “Rick”, Sherry, and David Bradley. He served his country in the U.S. Airforce from 1952 -1953, during the Korean War Era. He was a retired Maintenance Worker for the Woodsbend Boys Camp. He was a Christian and a member of Ezel Church of God. He loved his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, David Bradley Pieratt; one brother and two sisters, James Thomas “J.T.” Pieratt, Janice Little, and Yvonne “Bonnie” Helton; and daughter-in-law, Renee Lewis Pieratt.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Jean Pieratt; two children, Phillip Ray “Rick” Pieratt and Sherry Lewis (Vernon) all of West Liberty, KY; four grandchildren, Amanda Pieratt Caudill (Chad) of Ashland, KY, Gabriel Lewis of McKinney, TX, Nathan Lewis (Brittni) of West Liberty, KY, and Jeremy Lewis of Morehead, KY; five great grandchildren, Cayden Christopher Caudill, Jared Lewis, Justin Lewis, Lynlee Lewis, and Jaxon Lewis; two brothers & two sisters, Robert Pieratt (Carol) of Middletown, OH, Hollie Pieratt (Mary Jo) of Lawrenceburg, KY, Betty Nickell of Vero Beach, FL, and Lauretta Lane of Wellington, KY; sister-in-law, Marilyn Pieratt of Lexington, KY; his step-mother, Juanita Pieratt of Ezel, KY; and his special friends, Johnny Guy & Beverly Mays of Ezel, KY.
Funeral Service, 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Harry Flannery officiating. Burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY, with Morgan County DAV Chapter 132 conducting military rites. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021, at the funeral home.
