Linda had many jobs over the years but none she enjoyed more than caring for her family. She spent the majority of her life raising her five children, being a present grandparent and great-grandparent, and being a full time caretaker to her husband in his final years of life.
Linda valued family over everything. Nothing made her prouder than her family. She always put her family first and poured all of her energy and love into each one of them. In return, her family poured back into her and enjoyed any time they got to spend in her company. She was an only child, so she truly valued the large family that she and Jay created. Her circle was small, including her family and a few close friends, but she nurtured every relationship with a frequent visit or daily phone call.
Linda was extremely intelligent. She remembered the birthdays of every family member. She was a walking phone book, having memorized every phone number you may ever need. She could spell anything and was once crowned the winner of the county wide spelling bee. She spent much of her time reading or doing word searches. She also enjoyed watching Wheel of fortune and often had the puzzles solved before the show's contestants. She always had a very quick wit and her speedy retorts often left you laughing. She was a wonderful storyteller and often kept memories alive by sharing them with her grandchildren. She loved music and could sing almost every word to any, 90’s or older, country song or classic hymn you played.
Linda was always known for her beauty and grace. In her younger years she was known for having a wardrobe that many viewed with admiration. She valued presenting herself well and made sure that throughout her life she was always put together for every occasion.
Linda was of the Christian faith. She had a strong moral compass and believed in telling the truth and following the rules. She was a true role model, providing a great example of how to live for all of those around her.
Linda has completed her journey and her absence will leave a hole in the heart of all those who loved her.
