Larry Burns Oldfield of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at West Liberty Nursing & Rehab Center, at the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 28 days. He was born Friday, November 23, 1945, at Grassy Creek, KY, son of the late Harold & Ruby Chaney Oldfield.
Larry was united in marriage to Malvery Smith. Larry was retired from bridge construction. He was a Christian and was a member of the Salem Christian Church. He was a loving father and grandfather, and will be missed by all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Ruby Oldfield; his wife, Malvery Smith Oldfield; one brother, Paul Oldfield; and one sister, Patty Oldfield Steele.
He is survived by his daughter, Marsha Mays of West Liberty, KY; three grandchildren, Phillip Ryan DeHaven, Shelbie Arizona Mays, and Kara Jordan Mays; one nephew, Rocky Steele; and a special cousin, Loretta Terrell.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Danny Collins officiating. Burial to follow at the Salem Cemetery, Buskirk, KY. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home.
