Kathleen Blair of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 23 days. She was born Wednesday, February 7, 1945 at in Morgan County, KY, daughter of the late Otis Bill & Emma Beatrice Barker Whitt.
Kathleen was a loving and devoted mother. She treasured the short time she had with Dewayne here on this earth. She was also devoted to caring for her adolescent sister, Gloria, after their mother passed away. She and her son faced the same tribulations brought forth by kidney disease, which took Dewayne from her nearly 30 years ago. Kathleen was proud to be a kidney transplant success story for more than 37 years.
She was a loyal member of Eagle Eye Ministries Church for more than 30 years. She dearly loved the fellowship and worship with her brothers and sisters more than anything. She was a living example of Ephesians 4:2, Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dewayne Blair; three brothers, Roger Whitt, Billy Eugine Whitt, and Donald Ray Whitt; and a nephew, Michael Watson.
She is survived by two sisters, Gloria Jean Whitt and Thelma June Mitchell (Sonny); a sister-in-law, Geraldine Whitt (widow of her late brother, Billy); a special friend, Benny Perkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Eagle Eye Ministries, Wrigley, KY, with Bro. Gary Ferguson & Bro. Curt Lovall officiating. Burial to follow in the Cox Cemetery, Hwy 519, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Eagle Eye Ministries, Wrigley, KY.
Pallbearers: Ricky Fleming, Jacob Sergent, Kaleb Sergent, Benny Perkins, Darrell Bailey, and Jeffrey Dean Arnett.
