Judy (Skaggs) Mabry

Judy Mabry of Morehead, KY, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at Lyndon Woods Care & Rehab, Louisville, KY, at the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 13 days. She was born on Thursday, November 5, 1959, daughter of the late Dennie & Billie Nell Adams Skaggs.

Judy was a former retail worker for Walmart.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Dennie & Billie Nell Skaggs, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Skaggs and Dan Allen. 

Survivors include four children, Latonia Dooley (David) of Frankfort, KY, Adam Ison of Morehead, KY, Donald Ison of Huntington, WV, and Amanda Hays (Tracey) of Frankfort, KY; six grandchildren, Derrick Ison, Garrett Ison, Wyatt Ison, Kinley Ison, Anna Dooley, and Lincoln Dooley; one brother, Dennie Skaggs (Crystal) of Salyersville, KY; one sister, Debbie Ball of Morehead, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service 2 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Conley & Bro. Jimmy Tharp officiating.  Burial to follow in the South Fork Cemetery, Malone, KY.  Visitation from 12 – 2 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers:  Adam Ison, Garrett Ison, Derrick Ison, David Dooley, Tracey Hays, Lincoln Dooley, and David Havens.
