Juanita Pieratt

Juanita Pieratt of Ezel, KY, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling, KY, at the age of 98 years, 7 months, and 15 days. She was born on Friday, October 10, 1924 at Kellacey, KY, daughter of the late Thomas Cox & Ada Vest Cox.

She was a retired head cook at the Woodsbend Boys Camp.  She was a Christian and a member of the Toms Branch Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Thomas & Ada Vest Cox, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Pieratt and her grandson, Samuel Adams. 

Survivors include her son, Tommy Brent Adams (Lisa) of Flemingsburg, KY; her granddaughter, Stacy Maze (Darren Highley) of Mt. Sterling, KY; and cousins, Charlotte Barlett of Ohio and Henrietta McKinney of West Liberty, KY.

Funeral Service 11 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeff Montgomery officiating.  Burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY.  Visitation from 6 -9 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers:  Darren Highley, Jimmy Cox, Allen Cole, Paul Fugate, Heath Sullens, and Ronnie Poe.
