Joseph Cleveland Chambers of Booneville, KY, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Owsley County Health Care Center, Booneville, KY, after an extended illness. He was born Monday, August 16, 1948 at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Elisha & Bessie Taulbee Chambers.
Cleveland will be remembered as a loving brother & uncle, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elisha & Bessie Chambers; four brothers, Charles Chambers, Billy J. Chambers, Denzil Chambers, & Gerald Chambers; and five sisters, Arneada Stovall, Marcella Boyd, Naomi Scott, Avanell Lambert, and Nancy Thompson.
He is survived by two sisters, Anna Charnesky (Greg) of Mount Sterling, KY and Karen Mayhon (Danny) of Germantown, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hazel Green Cemetery, Hazel Green, KY. Visitation from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the funeral home.
