Jonathan Marvin Brown

Jonathan “Jon” Marvin Brown of Ezel, KY, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at Staffordsville, KY, at the age of 48 years, 6 months, and 1 day.  He was born Monday, November 21, 1977, at West Liberty, KY, son of Samuel Ricky & Vonia Ferguson Brown.

Jon was united in marriage to Leigh Ann Kelly.  Jon was a “Jack of all Trades” and was a hard worker.  He was the owner of Kentucky Pool Company and a Power Washing Business, was a former Morgan County Magistrate, and he would also help with live radio broadcasts of Morgan County Sports.  Jon enjoyed traveling, camping, riding motorcycles and just being around and talking with his family & friends.  He was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity, a member of the Elkfork Masonic Lodge # 755, and El Hasa Shriner's.     

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Brown.

Jon is survived by his wife, Leigh Ann Brown; four children, Caleb Brown, Shelby Brown & her fiance', Keegan Bentley, Derek & Hanna Wireman, and Terra Wireman & her boyfriend, Oliver Skaggs; his mother, Vonia Brown; his grandson, Elijah Wireman; one brother, Sammy & Holly Brown; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Melvin & Pat Kelly; sister-in-law, Cindy & Dennie Lewis; his nephew & nieces, Kaden & Savanna Brown, Emma Brown, and Lily Denniston; a special cousin who was like his brother, Jamie & Amy Ferguson; and friends & co-workers, Brenton Raider, Rafael Ortiz, and Rick Barker.

Jon’s kindness, humor, and presence will be missed by all his family, many friends and his community.

A Celebration of Jon’s Life will be held and open to the public at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Jamie Ferguson’s Garage located at 764 Fyffe Branch, West Liberty, KY.
