John William Johnson

John William Johnson of Adele, KY, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his residence, at the age of 74 years and 1 month.  He was born Tuesday, June 3, 1947, at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Evert & Roxie Blevins Johnson.

Johnny was united in marriage to Wilma Johnson.  He was an US Army Veteran serving his country for over 2 years.  He was retired from road construction, blacktopping for several companies over his working years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evert & Roxie Blevins Johnson; one son, Johnny Keith Johnson; and one brother, James Johnson.    

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Johnson; three children, Jonathan Johnson of Morgan County, KY, William Curtis Johnson of West Liberty, KY, and Marcy Davis & Eddie of Morgan County, KY; several grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one sister, Virginia Nickell of Mt. Sterling, KY; uncle, Bill Johnson of West Liberty, KY; two nephews & one niece, James Matthew Johnson, James Kyle Nickell, and Jessica Danielle Nickell; and a host of cousins.

A private service will be held at the family’s request.
