John David Hunt of Fremont, OH, formerly of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont, OH, at the age of 66 years, 4 months, and 23 days. He was born Thursday, July 28, 1955, at Prestonsburg, KY, son of the late Zeffer Hunt & Myrtle Endicott Hunt Osborne.
He was united in marriage to Evelyn Kay Nickell on July 26, 1974. This union was blessed with three daughters, Angela Sue, Michelle Lynn, and Scottyee Gaye. He was self-employed as a HVAC Technician, owning and operating John’s Heating and Air Conditioning located in Fremont, OH. He loved his family and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Zeffer Hunt & Myrtle Endicott Hunt Osborne, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Kay Nickell Hunt; his step father, James Osborne; and his brother, Ronnie Hunt.
He is survived by three daughters, Angela Sue Fleming-Good (Timothy), Michelle Lynne Smith (D.J.), and Scottyee Gaye Barney (Brad) all of Fremont, OH; fourteen grandchildren, Rebecca Fleming, Zach Zimmerman, Braydon Lane, Ashly Fleming, Paige Smith, Skyler Barney, Preston Barney, Kyrsten White, Dylan Smith, John Fleming, David Fleming, Mackenzie Smith, Mellisa Barney, and Ryder Eli Smith; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Betsy Osborne (Marla) and Roseann Carpenter all of West Liberty, KY; and his two fur babies, Asia & Shelby.
Funeral Service, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Pastor Saundra Nathanson officiating. Burial to follow in the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY. Visitation from 6 – 9 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021, and 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the funeral home. The family request if attending visitation or funeral service to please wear a face mask.
