John Philip Brickman

John Philip Brickman of Torrington, Wyoming, age 45 years, 8 months, 11 days, departed this life from the Torrington Hospital due to inoperable brain tumor complications on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

John was born in Salem, OH on October 2, 1975 to Jim and Faith Brickman.

Spending his growing up years in Crockett, KY, he repented of sin, trusted in Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Faith Hills Mennonite Church.

Because of physical limitation, John’s work and income came from various jobs suited to his abilities. In 1999, he moved to Wyoming to be near his oldest brother. His cheerful friendliness endeared him to many.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Douglas Brickman and wife, Anne of Wheatland, Wyoming, Paul Brickman and wife, Jennifer of Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Hope Anne Dueck and husband, Paul of Zanesville, OH, Grace Bear and husband, Gabriel of Crockett, KY; an uncle and aunt, Donald and Marjory Brickman of Longmont, Colorado; aunt, Aleen Golis of Mesa, Arizona; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

John was predeceased by a brother, Jeffery Brickman; his paternal grandparents, Roy and Elva Brickman; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Ruth Hoien; an uncle, John E. Hoien.

Visitation will be held 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Faith Hills Mennonite Church. Funeral service 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the church with Ministers, William Schueler, Myron Beachy, Lamar Steiner, and Timothy M. Conley participating. Burial will follow in the Faith Hills Mennonite Church Cemetery, Crockett, KY.

Pallbearers: Menno Miller, Marcus Miller, Galen Miller, Eugene Campbell, Michael  Schueler, and Rodney Bear.
