James Oney Obituary

James Bruce Oney of Frankfort, KY, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY, at the age of 52 years, 4 months, and 6 days. He was born Friday, January 5, 1968 at Frankfort, KY, son of the late Rev. George B. & Patricia Stacy Oney.

JB was a former telemarketer. He was a Christian and a member of the Faith Baptist Church. He was a loving brother and uncle, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Stacie Marie Oney Williams.

He is survived by three brothers, George Oney, Jr. & Stephanie, Joseph Oney & Rhonda all of Frankfort, KY, and Matthew Benjamin Oney of Mt. Sterling, KY; two special nieces, Jessica Gilbert and Jennifer Releford; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Due to the COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private graveside service for the immediate family, will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Morris Cemetery, Caney, KY.
