Jackie Travis Havens of West Liberty, KY, passed away, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his residence, at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 4 days. He was born Tuesday, January 19, 1937, in Cannel City, KY, son of the late John Frank & Minnie Lou Lacy Havens.
He was united in marriage to Wanda Sue McGuire, this union was blessed with three children, Rosemary, Jeffrey Scott, and William Travis. He was a retired farmer, as an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed working in his garden and loved farming. He was a Christian and attended the Index Community Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great and great-great grandfather, brother, and uncle, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Homer & Elsie McGuire; eight brothers, Harold, Junior, Eugene, Limuel, Laffoon, Earl, Stewart, and Charles Havens; one sister, Sarah Coder; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces & nephews.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Wanda Sue McGuire Havens; three children, Rosemary Havens Manning (James), Jeffrey Scott Havens (Michelle), and William Travis Havens (Gena) all of West Liberty, KY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; one sister, Norma Jean Setters of Dayton, OH; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral Service 1 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Frisby officiating. Burial to follow in the Bishop Cemetery, Bishop Cemetery Road, Dehart, KY. Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Trevor Havens, Kyle Preston, Lake Adkins, Forrest Adkins, Jeremy Bear, and Andy Amburgey.
Honorary Pallbearers: His Grandsons, Granddaughters, and All His Nieces and Nephews.
