Imogene (Vance) Perkins

Imogene Perkins of Kettering, OH, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Sycamorespring Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Miamisburg, OH, at the age of 89 years, 8 months, & 21 days.  She was born Tuesday, May 22, 1934 at Cannel City, KY, daughter of Jess & Anna Haney Vance.

Imogene was united in marriage to Clayton Perkins.  This union was blessed with four children, Owen, Jeff Renaee & Avery.  She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and home.  Imogene was of the Christian faith.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess & Anna Haney Vance; her husband, Clayton Perkins; one son, Avery Perkins; and several brothers & sisters.

She is survived by three children, Owen Perkins of Dayton, OH, Jeff Perkins of Monroe, MI and Renaee Hatton (Michael) of Kettering, OH; one daughter-in-law, Jeri Perkins of Dayton, OH; three grandchildren, Alex Hatton, Jesse Perkins, and Carrie Bryant (Carlos); one brother, Bob Vance (Marlene) of Centerville, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Herdman officiating.  Burial to follow in the Perkins Cemetery, Stacy Fork, KY.  Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the funeral home.
