Homer Ray Adkins of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY, at the age of 73 years, 7 months, and 23 days. He was born Friday, August 13, 1948, in Redwine, KY, son of the late Cecil & Lizzie Caskey Adkins.
He was a retired carpenter and a Christian. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and uncle, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Cecil & Lizzie Adkins, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Adkins.
He is survived by his two children, Bobby Adkins and Tammy Adkins, both of West Liberty, KY; one sister, Delean Bowman (Kenneth) of Ezel, KY; one brother, Cecile Adkins of Xenia, OH; and seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 1 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Cortis Ison officiating. Burial to follow in the Adkins Cemetery, Elkfork, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Anthony Barker, Chris Elam, Matthew Harper, James Adkins, Kelley Bowman, and Aaron Barker.
