Hilda Fern (Benton) Hill

Hilda Fern Benton Hill of Paris, KY, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her residence, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 21 days. She was born on Monday, November 3, 1947, daughter of the late Henry & Maxine Hackney Benton.

She was united in marriage to Russell C. Hill.  This union was blessed with two children, Russell Jr. & Phyllis.  She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family & her home.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.  She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends, and all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Watson; one sister, Almadean Bressler Bates; and four brothers, Clell Benton, Joe Marshall Benton, Tommy Benton, and Dewey Benton. 

Survivors include her loving husband, Russell C. Hill; one son, Russell C. Hill, Jr.; four grandchildren, Lori Caudill (Robert), Brent Watson, Ken Hill, and Grace Hill; two great grandchildren, Braxton Caudill & Morgan Caudill; two brothers, Charles Ray Benton and Jimmy Benton; and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Raymond Vancleave officiating.  Burial to follow in the Walter Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY.  Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
