Helen (Elam) Adams

Helen Elam Adams of Inez, KY, formerly of Morgan County, KY, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 6 days.  She was born Tuesday, July 22 1947, at Wheel Rim, KY, daughter of Lonnie & Ressie Patrick Elam.

Helen was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family.  She also worked for as a factory worker. She was a Christian and of the Christian Faith.                 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie & Ressie Patrick Elam; one sister, Pauline Dunn; and one brother, Vernon Elam.

Helen is survived by six children, Pamela Bailey, Karen Hutchinson, Lindon Travis Lykins (Wendy), Fontana Hobbs (Donald), Tiffany Lykins, and Levi Lykins; fourteen grandchildren, Trenton Kahmann, Nathan Bailey, John Bailey, Daniel Hutchinson, Hannah Hutchinson, Destiny Lykins, Dillon Barker, Drayden Hobbs, Jordan Lykins, Emily Lykins, Kelly Smith, Abby Nans, Allie Ratliff, and Kadin Ratliff; nine great grandchildren; and one brother, Norman Elam (Francis).

Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside service 1 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2026 at the Elam-DeBord Cemetery, Wheel Rim, Hazel Green, KY.  Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.    

Pallbearers:  Daniel Hutchinson, Travis Lykins, Jordan Lykins, Nathan Bailey, John Bailey, Dillon Barker, and Levi Lykins.
