Harold Goodpaster

Harold Goodpaster of Bardstown, KY, formerly of West Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital, Bardstown, KY, at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 12 days.  He was born Sunday, November 26, 1933 at Kellacey, KY, son of the late Raymond & Opal Muncie Goodpaster.

Harold was united in marriage to Venus McKinney on November 6, 1976.  This union was blessed with one daughter, Wanda Kristy.  He was a farmer, worked at Mountain Auto Parts Store, and also worked in construction.  He was a Christian and a member of the Toms Branch Community Church.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.      

In addition to his parents, Raymond & Opal Goodpaster, he was preceded in death by his wife, Venus Goodpaster; one sister, Nellevine Gibson; sister-in-law, Nettie Goodpaster; and brothers-in-law, Buster Carpenter, Don Gibson, and Roger Williams.

Harold is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Kristy & Jason Clark of Bardstown, KY; one step grandson, Grayson Clark; one brother, Gerald Goodpaster of West Liberty, KY; three sisters, Barbara Carpenter, Janice & Billy Ray Lewis, all of West Liberty, KY, and Carolyn Williams of Owingsville, KY; special uncle, Jerry Muncie of OK; special niece & nephew, Teresa & Ricky Lindon of West Liberty, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.   

Funeral service 1 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Harry Flannery officiating.  Burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers:  Ricky Lindon, Ricky Peyton, Timmy Peyton, Kendall Carpenter, Greg Lewis, and Jason Clark.
