Gretta Carpenter Obituary

Gretta Walter Carpenter of Winter Haven, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, FL, at the age of 87 years, 5 months, and 5 days. She was born Tuesday, May 26, 1936 at Nickell, KY, daughter of the late Ira & Bertie Stacy Walter.

She was a retired Elementary School Teacher. She will be remembered as a loving sister and aunt, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira & Bertie Stacy Walter.

Gretta is survived by one brother, Paul B. Walter of Dayton, OH; one sister, Kathy Walter also of Dayton, OH; and four nephews.

Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Wells Cemetery, Stacy Fork, KY.
