Grace “Bernice” Elliott Keeton of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at her residence, at the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 16 days. She was born Sunday, May 27, 1956, at West Liberty, KY, daughter of the late Clifford Elliott & Lorene Keeton Elliott Oney.
Bernice was united in marriage to Loman Dale Keeton on May 20, 1972. This union was blessed with two daughters & two sons. Bernice worked 15 years at McDonalds in Paintsville, KY, followed by a number of years at the Ashland Daily Independent Newspaper. She worked hard throughout her life to provide for her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be missed by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Elliott and Lorene Elliott Oney; her husband, Loman Dale Keeton; and one sister, Carolyn Kay Elliott.
Bernice is survived by her four children, Janice & Stephen Cantrell of West Liberty, KY, Raquel & James Keeton of Paintsville, KY, Jody Keeton of San Jose, CA, and Cory & Heather Keeton of Martha, KY; three grandchildren, Dustin & Ashley Cantrell of Owingsville, KY, Destiney Taylor of Paintsville, KY, and Alex & Destany Taylor of Columbus, OH; two sisters & three brothers, Dwight Elliott of Crockett, KY, Kathy & Larry Gilliam of Isonville, KY, Robin & Wayne Cassity of West Liberty, KY, Jeff & Arlene Elliott of Mt. Sterling, KY, and Justin & Sharon Elliott also of Mt. Sterling, KY; and a special friend, Paul Gilliam of Crockett, KY.
Funeral service 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Holbrook officiating. Burial to follow in the Keeton Cemetery, Martha, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home.
